History
World Cup Packaging began as Star Packaging, founded in 1992 by Bob Seay in South Beloit, Illinois. The company made its name in the food packaging business by doing quality work in a growing field. As the business grew, investors joined Bob in managing the company. An evolution followed whereby “Star Packaging” became World Cup Packaging, and the company moved to LaPorte, Indiana.
In the summer of 2003, World Cup built a new 12,000-square-foot facility. Additions followed in 2007, 2011, 2013, and 2018, increasing the total square footage to its current 56,000 square feet.
In 2005, World Contract Packagers opened, offering onsite co-packing services.
Throughout the history and changes in our company, Bob Seay has been the mainstay. He brought the company back home to South Beloit in 2003 where it proudly remains today.
